We aim to handle information in line with UK data protection law. This page describes what the website actually does today rather than making a general compliance claim.

The website has no accounts, no shop checkout and no contact form. It does not ask you to type personal details into it, and nothing you enter is stored by us on this site.

The contact options on the site are ordinary links: tapping the phone number opens your phone app, the email address opens your email app, and the Facebook Messenger link opens Facebook. If you get in touch that way, we see whatever your message contains and we use it only to reply and to arrange your appointment or enquiry.

This site does not set advertising or analytics cookies, and there is no third-party tracking script embedded in the pages. Because of that, there is no cookie consent banner. If we add anything that needs consent in future, we will add a banner and update this page.

The site is hosted by a third-party hosting provider. Like almost all web hosting, their servers keep short-term technical logs of requests — for example your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. These logs exist for security and to keep the site running, they are held by the hosting provider, and we do not use them to build a profile of you.

Appointments are handled by Booksy, not by this website. Every "Book on Booksy" button sends you to our Booksy profile. Anything you enter there — name, contact details, payment where applicable — is handled by Booksy under their own privacy policy, and we see it as the business receiving your booking.

"Get directions" links open Google Maps in a new tab. Once you follow that link, Google handles your visit under its own privacy policy.

The site includes a Google reviews panel that is designed to show our public Google rating. It is currently inactive: the Google Places credentials have not been configured, so the panel falls back to a simple "Find us on Google" link and no request is made to Google from this site. If the credentials are added later, the request is made from our server on a cached schedule — your browser is not the one calling Google, and only public review information is shown.

Our Facebook page and Messenger links open Facebook in a new tab. We do not embed Facebook pixels, like buttons or trackers in these pages, so Facebook is not told about your visit unless you click through.

This page covers the website. Information you give us in person or over the phone — for example when booking, arranging a hair systems consultation or enquiring about an Academy course — is used only to provide that service and to contact you about it.

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. Email hamiltonsbarbers@hotmail.co.uk and we will respond. For information held by Booksy, Google or Facebook, contact those services directly, as they act independently of us.
