Award-winning barbershop in the heart of Redruth

Hamilton’s Barbershop & Academy is an award-winning, veteran-owned barbershop in the heart of Redruth, Cornwall. Founded by Liam Hamilton, who served in the British Army for 21 years before building a shop centred around high standards, professionalism and community, Hamilton’s has grown from a small Cross Street courtyard shop into a recognised destination for precision cuts, beard grooming, men’s hair systems and barbering education — all under one roof.

Liam is a Grand Master Barber, experienced educator and former barbering lecturer at Truro College. He also delivers barbering and period-grooming training for film, television and theatre students. Today, a team of experienced barbers offers modern and traditional haircuts, skin fades, beard grooming, children’s cuts and signature hot towel shaves, alongside discreet men’s hair replacement systems and professional barbering education through Hamilton’s Academy.

The shop was named Best Barbershop 2025 at the Cornwall Hair & Beauty Awards and has previously been recognised as one of the Top Ten Barbershops in the UK by The Observer and The Guardian. But Hamilton’s is designed to be more than somewhere to get a haircut. Clients can enjoy premium coffee, drinks from our licensed bar, darts and a welcoming atmosphere. Children have their own campervan barber chair, and sensory-friendly appointments are available. We are proud to support the Armed Forces community and Veterans Regroup CIC.
